Deerfield Beach Mayor on a Power Trip

This is an excerpt from a post on the www.deerfieldbeachusa.com website, please go to the site to read the entire post.

Is Jean Robb Der F├╝hrer? - 06/21/14
A local resident and occasional speaker at city commission meetings, Patrick Jolivet, emailed a letter to Mayor Robb protesting her alleged attempt to block certain emails, including his, to her official city email address. He wrote, "It is important for you to understand that you are not Adolf Hitler and Deerfield Beach is not Nazi Germany." Jolivet's full letter is on the MAOS blog.

Obviously, the city cannot block emails or any other form of communication to City Hall under ordinary circumstances. If the charge is true, I am simply dumbfounded why the mayor would think she could do this. Then again, she thought she could use her personal email for city business to avoid the public records law until she was advised she could not...

  1. From the screen print posted on Chaz Stevens website, that you seem to know be so fond of, does not indicate if she is talking about her personal email (mamamayor...) Or her City email. The email is sent from her personal email, so it stands to reason, by reasonable people at least, that she more likely than not was referring to her personal email which is not subject to Sunshine Law, if its not being used for official City business. I could be mistaken???

  2. You are dead wrong. You have no clue how FS 119 works.

  3. So the only thing the Jean Robb is guilty of is not just blocking you and other naysayers from her personal account, herself. Okay she asked City employees to do it mistakenly...big whoop!!! I'm more interested in why the City punished those black workers, then after Bob Norman broke the story the City of Deerfield Beach lead by Bill Ganz told everyone it was a hoax, but after the followup reporting by Bob Norman the City was proven wrong and quite obviously engaged in retaliatory practices against those black employees. Why are you, Chad, as a member of the NAACP and Amnesty International, not reporting about that, instead of this garbage. Bett Willett and Jeff Sayles obviously are following your lead and attacking every little thing The Cryptkeeper (Jean Robb) does. I came to respect you for getting Poeiter out of the City, but now you just seem to be wasting our time and the taxpayers of Deerfield money. I would like to see the e!ails b/w Ganz and City Staff about the inhumane treat!sent those employees faced and the City's subsequent denial.

  4. How about you first start off with purchasing a dictionary?

  5. Where's the fat black kid??? At least he stood for something and you people ran him out of town...or if your blog is correct he's dead. Damn, he was unfettered and uncensored. At least I could trust he was on the side of the citizenry and not just another patsy for Hanson. If he's alive, I would love to see him represent District 2, maybe then theyll get the representation they deserve and the City won't be able to hide behind morons like Preston and Ganz, acting in collusion with Hanson and Stevens. Somebody get me his info, I'll finance his candidacy.

  6. Wrong! Those employees are not being mistreated! That is a work crew that cleans parks, roadside and other City areas. It is very hard work and it is also an important job. Those employees that you are talking about should have been fired a long time ago and are mistreating the City taxpayer by not doing their job. They were given a last chance to try and see if they could do the job, however, they decided to sit. They have a work crew leader that supplies water and Gatorade and checks on them. They are no different than the crews mowing fields, edging, trimming hedges, etc. who are also out in the hot sun working extremely hard. There are many safer and smarter ways to carry water, for instance, a canteen on your belt?

  7. David Cody appeared at the last Commission Meeting. All you have to do is go to the next Commission meeting and meet him. If you have the money to finance his campaign, it will be easy to get him elected. All you have to do is go around to all the local churches and tell lies to people about what you think they want to hear and then go over to the Palms and bribe the Seniors to vote for him.

  8. The night his buddy was killed, Cody didn't bother to give him a ride home, but made the young man walk.

  9. Wow, District 2 is really in bad shape then...so what your saying is Ben Preston went to the churches in District 2 and lied and then bribed the seniors at the Palms...so Ben Preston is just as bad as Poitier or maybe worse.

Your point about Cody not giving his friend a ride...I looked back at Commission meetings and Cody was asking the City to fix the horrible conditions in that area months before his friend was killed. Cody admitted to that and indicated that he was going to fight harder to fix that area..he repeatedly wrote and spoke about his desire to make amends...IN MY BOOK THAT SHOULD BE REWARDED, NOT RIDICULED! Its obvious that the City, including the D2 Commissioner Ben Preston, blocked his efforts for safety measures, and more people have been hurt in that area. So maybe I will go to the Meeting to meet Cody. He seems to be more principled than anyone else there.
Basically, all I hear from all these blogs is excuses and BS. If those workers were problems as you say...and were not fired, but allowed to continue to siphon off the City's coffers then that points to mismanagement at the City level...and from the record of the last meeting Burgess basically admitted that the City has knownnof the District 2 complaints since 1980...so even further evidence of mismanagement and willful neglect towards the concerns of Deerfield Beach District 2 residents.

Jean Robb maybe right...maybe there is some truth to her claims of blatant racist practices at City Hall..if its not racist then its lack of concern for those citizens and employees who are less fortunate than the rest of us.

  10. Robb has a storied past dealing out racism, so who better to sniff it out!

  11. Seems to me that kids dead cause Cody was too lazy, or perhaps too stoned. No amount of amends will bring back a dead one, nor fix Cody's screwup.

He can talk all he wants about lighting up that intersection, but the hit/run happened a couple hundred feet away.

All said and done. Someone is dead and Cody is partially responsible.

  12. So who is the other responsibility party? The driver, BSO for not locking that kid up after his first run-ins with the law, maybe its the City for not doing anything in that area for 30 years, even though that community has been complaining that long, maybe its FDOT for the same thing as the City. Sounds to me that these questions should asked instead of placing the blame on Cody..who in earnest could have been anyone who didn't offer the kid a ride...but that's non-sensical and irrelavent. The fact remains that that section of Hillsboro is dangerous..the City knew it and instead of resolve the problem they let it linger for 30 years until Cody came around and put the facts in their face. PERIOD.

  13. KID DEAD BECAUSE OF CODY.

  14. You say the City knew and let linger for 30 years? What did Poitier do? She was the city...

  15. No, that is how Jean Robb won the Mayoral election.

  16. I believe she paid $20 an absentee ballot.

  17. So the blacks ran the City??? Poitier and her cronies ran the City???Robb brought votes and somehow rigged the election. Sounds plausible in a demented sociopathic world. I see you've been drinking the same kool-aid that Spaz Stevens is spewing. Your points been made...the blacks and Jean Robb ruined the City and Cody killed his friend.

  19. Evil comes in all forms and certainly one person posting here is more evil then most and a bigger coward then most. Doesn't have the balls to put his/her name on their evil posts. I can only hope you'll die being run over.
